Farragut High School Attendance and AP Courses Policies – 2018-2019

Senior Privilege- Applies to SENIORS only – page 19 Student Handbook

Seniors who have no more than two absences per class for semester long classes or no more than one absence for a 9 week class with a minimum of 80% average may opt out of the class's final exam. (This exam cannot be a state or AP exam). This applies to both fall and spring classes. 

The senior privilege does not apply to dual enrollment classes or Edgenuity courses. 

AP Exam Exemption- Applies to any AP student – page 22 Student Handbook

Students enrolled in AP courses either fall or spring semester who have registered for and will take the AP exam are exempt from the class final exam. Students wishing to be exempt from their fall semester finals on Dec. 19-20 must register for the AP Exam by Friday, December 14th.

If a student registers for the AP exam and does not take the exam, he or she must take a teacher-produced final exam worth 15% of the grade within five days of the date of the AP exam.
